A Major Milestone Achieved
During this quarter, significant progress was made towards the establishment of the Dhenkanal Bamboo Craft Producers Company Limited. On 28th July 2024, the company was formally constituted, marking a major milestone in the project.
🎉 Formal Constitution
The legal registration and formal establishment of the Producer Company transformed the collective vision of the artisans into a recognized, self-reliant economic entity capable of conducting business, accessing markets, and securing institutional support.
Board of Directors & Leadership
Initially, 10 directors were identified and selected to lead the company. Their KYC details and DIN (Director Identification Number) were prepared with assistance from the Company Secretary, who has been appointed to oversee the company's legal and administrative processes.
🤝 Inclusive APG Representation
The Artisan Producer Group (APG) within the project has nominated one representative to serve on the Board of Directors, ensuring that the leadership is inclusive and representative of the diverse artisan groups involved. This guarantees that grassroots voices directly influence the strategic decisions of the company.
